One of the most beautiful places on Earth has definitely gotta be Bali! I’ve always wanted to visit and Bali definitely went beyond my expectations and offered so much more! I heard of the beautiful sunsets and the beautiful beaches but I didn’t know Bali was such an aesthetic place filled with so many amazing cafes, restaurants and bars!! I didn’t manage to go to every single place on my list but this gives me more reason to go back!
I reached Bali in the morning after taking a 5am+ flight from Singapore, so the first thing was to check in to the Airbnb! It was a decent place but I got a few bedbug bites, but it was relatively cheap so.. I guess a villa in Bali would be a better choice? After taking a nap and lunch, we decided to check out the cafe scene in Bali and boy, was I pleased!
The first place was Batik Restaurant and Bar. This place is so pretty and it looks exactly like the photos I’ve seen online! It’s a Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian Restaurant all in one, and they serve alcohol too! So.. afternoon drinks it is! The drinks were okay but the ambience really made up for everything. It was in the noon so I guess there weren’t many people, so that was even better! It’s a good place to relax and escape from the heat.
Talking about escaping the heat, there’s an amazing organic/vegan ice-cream place down the road from where we were and this place serves AMAZING ice-cream. If you need an ice-cream fix I would really recommend Mad Pops Bali! If you need something for your Instagram feed, this would be a great place as well! Millenium pink with neon signs? If that’s your thing, just go for it! #iceicebaby
We decided to visit another cafe while waiting for the perfect time to head to the last place for the day! This time we went to Coffee Cartel Bali! This place is known for the different colored coffees like charcoal coffee, turmeric coffee?! The list goes on! It was a nice place to chill and there were actually people using their laptops here! Nice place to spend the afternoon if you have no plans! Also their tiles are beautiful!
The highlight of the day!! Potato Head Beach Club Bali!! I’m sure if you were planning to go to Bali, you’d have heard of Potato Head! It’s such a popular place in Bali so I wasn’t planning on leaving without visiting this place! And yes, the vibes were great, there was music, a beach where you can just walk down to view the sunset. The beach was so beautiful and I really recommend you call to reserve seats if you need one! We arrived slightly later and they were tons of people already! So we stood near the beach to watch the sunset but it was no issue!
We had a couple of beers with a view overlooking the pool and that’s when the night truly started at Potato Head!
Oh and guys, we used Grab to move around the city but I would really recommend getting a private car rental because it’s difficult to get Grab in some places. It’s really cheap for a car rental as well, it comes with a driver and everything, we used that on our last day when we went to Ubud! More on that later on!
I really miss Bali and I hope to go back soon! Have you been to Bali before? What are your experiences there? Share them below! 🙂
