Starting Hokkaido Day 2 with an amazing view from the hotel! It’s located near a ski area, which explains the mountains and hills! But omg, waking up to a city filled with snow, the feeling is amazing! This is Jozankei Manseikaku Hotel Milione, if any of you are interested!
We visited the Furano Cheese Factory, where we got to make our own waffle cones and ice-cream! Omg, making the waffle cone was so fun! Making the ice-cream made me reminisce about the times in school where we made ice cream for science experiments! We got to taste our product after making them!
The Cheese Factory also had a gift shop where they laid out different types of cheese for you to try, they had squid ink cheese?! Not my kind of thing definitely.. But the shop was definitely architecture goals!!
The Highlight of the Day!! We got to try snowmobiling! It was really fun and I highly recommend everyone who’s intending to visit Hokkaido to try this out! It’s really easy and the view you get when you reach the top is phenomenal! You get to see plains of untouched snow, and jump into them! It’s such a simple joy when in Hokkaido! But seriously tho, try it out!
We stopped by Glass Forest in Furano, mostly for people to buy cute, tiny, intricate glass pieces, but we also got to make our own candles! We got to decorate the “interior” of the candle and after it’s done you get to bring it home! But let’s be honest here, how many of us are going to bear to light it? Haha
Last place of the day was beside our hotel, (New Furano Prince Hotel) and it’s Ningle Terrace! I really wanted to visit this place after seeing it in Instagram photos, because it looks like a Christmas village in real life!! It’s so pretty and mesmerizing in person! There are cute shops, and even a cafe at the end of the village! It’s small, but I think that’s the charm of it, really got to feel like Christmas for the first time in my life! Pretty cottages with snow, top it off with a mug of hot chocolate and you get the perfect winter day experience!
Hopefully I’ll get to experience snow this year as well! Fingers crossed!
